Recumbent, we ride recumbent trikes, I believe it means something like layed-back. We are both looking forward to being layed-back as am retiring from off-farm job on 06/30/11 with Janice retiring 08/12/11 and selling our stocker calves in August and we plan to be long-timers and will try to be recumbent. I'm a family physician that spends most of my off time finding any trail I can hike. The Montana just gets me closer to my trails in luxury and style

I was a building contractor for 36 years. After that many years of driving nails, thumbsmasher would have been a more appropriate user name.

Jimmy Buffett fans are called Parrotheads. Was asked one time how many parrots I had as the woman thought it meant parrot collectors.

Capt Kidd just like the pirate who I like to claim as a long lost relative.

I was given this nickname when I was born by the nurse in the hospital.

When I was in grammer school I was know as Cappy. By the time I hit High School you were looking for a fat lip to call me that. In High School I was know as D-Don because I stutered.

When I got active in 4X4ing I chose Capt Kidd as my CB handle.

I have actually been a Captain Kidd when I was in the Butte County Sheriff Search and Rescue Team.

I retired after 31 years in law enforcement, the last 18 of which I was a "Chief". My wife always refers to police cars that she sees as 'lawdogs'. I just changed it to dawg instead of dog (the 'Southern' way of saying it).

We are originally from North Carolina but in 1974, the US Navy decided they wanted me to work in Maryland... Most every time we go on vacation and when we finally retire in 4 years... we are going to be "headinsouth"!

Probably should read "Old Dude" but didn't want to be reminded all the time of age. So went with "Ole" which could be "Ole~" on one of my better days. That's my story and I'm stuck with it.

When in high school I worked part time for a furniture and mortuary. Back then mortuaries also provided ambulance service. Small business, just the boss and me. When there was an ambulance call during school hours they would call the school principal to have me go on the ambulance call.
The Principal would call on the intercom to tell me to go on a call. As a teenage kid I always used this as an opportunity to burn rubber as far as possible when leaving the school grounds. The principle nick named me Rapidrobert as a result.
