So, how much 'stuff' is in the tanks?
Tank levels, always a guess. I don't know why they can't get a good system out there. Maybe the new trailers do, mine did not.
I installed a Vena tank monitoring system, a Bear to calibrate, and I think this led to the demise of that brand, but there are others out there.
I love mine, the LCD screen is attractive and easy to read and use, it also has a very accurate voltage meter on it.

I think an accurate and easy to read tank content measuring device is the "holy grail" of RVing.

It doesn't matter that Ozz has everything, he just keeps finding new ways to replace what he already has, faster than what I can get in there in the first place.
He's actually a terrible proving ground. Unlike many of us who complain about some of the mods we did that don't work out, he always finds a way to get it working. Raise your hand if you can recall he failed at something...... I thought so. My hands are down too. Nothing fails at his place.
I just read and remain in awe.
P.S. Did anyone notice that the server was down earlier today? It's probably back up because of Ozz. I'm convinced Ozz is Chuck Norris' mentor. Don't mess with Ozz.

I was reading many posts and reports on the Vena system about problems calibrating it, I had a heck of a time getting mine calibrated correctly. There is supposed to be a method of reading the Propane tank, but if I remember correctly the only tank it would work with, and had the correct sending unit, was those fixed mount horizontal tanks. So, that feature doesn't work on mine.

It was a Horizontal Manchester tank I think, that was 3 years ago, so I'm not positive. It was their sending unit.

I had a electric toilet by Tethford, and it had a level gage that worked better than any of these electronic devices they have out there now, it was a molded sight gage inbeded in the body of the toilet about 1/4 " wide clear plastic and about as long as the resavore was. when it was full you pulled the valve and it dumped into the holding tank on the RV it was good for 50 flushes before it had to be recharged, something like that would be great for a RV tank a sight gage it would be a simple thing to add to a tank i would think.

Hi Ozz, I put a monitor in my rig 32 years ago and it still works today. When the black water burbs, it yell's at you. When the fresh water tank is empty half way into a shower, it yell's at you. When the kitchen sink doesn't drain, it yell's at you. And when the shower turnes into a bath, it yell's at you. Only problem is it cost me a heck of alot more than what you paid for your monitoring unit. It's called Da Wife. You can find them all over the world.

TOak beat me to it, but my way is simpler. I say, "Honey, comere!" "Stick you arm down this hole and let me know when you feel something wet." See, that is simple, but the "alarm yell" is also with this method.
