Another flooring question.....

We looked at the vinyl wood strips (self adhesive) at Lowe's yesterday. I've got an email into the company that makes them on prepping the OSB for the tiles. Anyone tried these tiles? Sure look low maintenance and easy to install to us. I'm concerned with the height of the floating laminate floor that the slide may eventually start dragging on it.

When we laid the laminate we made sure it was lower then the slide in and when slide come in it actually tipped up so it was not draging on floor. At least our other Montana did. You might check to see if it does rise up when retracting the slide

The factory rep at the San Antonio RV show told us that if we installed the allure flooring in our Montana, the flush mount floor would drag and scar the flooring and possibly damage the slide. It would void any warranty on the slide if damaged. Does anyone have experience with the vinyl flooring? We are still considering putting in the vinyl floor since we are full-time and staying in one spot for about 4 more years until I retire.

I would sugest you watch your slide when it comes in and see how much it rises when it comes in. This was a concern we had on our 2750 when we put down the laminate. We were concerned about it dragging or even opening the strips, which did not occour. We had no problems in the year we had it.
