That is totally hilarious, even more so since we go to that station often. it is about 35 miles from our sticks and bricks. Minocqua is ranked in the top 5 highest priced fuel stops in the state of Wisconsin. This is called poetic justice... Dave and Betsy

I read about this online and there was a poll asking if you would have purchased gas there at this price. Heck yeah! You have to ask??? Sorry the employee made a mistake, but $3.00+/gallon is absurd. Of course, after living in the Alaska bush and paying over $5.00/gallon it all seems cheap to me!

Doesn't seem to me that the store manager is going to garner a lot of sympathy...
She's upset because she feels the drivers were "dishonest". OK, I can see it now... "Hello? Is this the station manager? Well, I just wanted to call in and make sure you knew your gas pumps were reading a ridiculously low price and there are lot of people buying gas. I am simply a concerned citizen doing the right thing - duplicating the fine example you and your oil company have been setting over these past two years."
This "concerned" citizen would, of course, would have been a recent escapee from a high security mental hospital, as no rational, sane person would ever make a call like that...

Unless something has changed over the years, gas stations only make a few cents on the gallon. It's an unfortunate situation that was taken advantage of. Wonder how many of the "customers" that were getting gas at $.33 a gal., called their relatives and friends and said "Get down here, quick!"
Would I have - you bet I would. In the end, she can write it off as a loss on her taxes.
