There have been several posts about this problem on the Forum. You should be able to find them using the search tool at the top. Depending on the year of your refer, I believe there's a way to clear it with a magnet. Don't think it will cool until then though.

Thanks all. The link from DqDick did the trick. Just starting a 3 week trip and dreaded no frig or trying to get service on the road. Bought a 95 lb magnet and held it over all parts of the switch and when I rested it on the bottom portion for about 3 seconds light went off and frig back on. Had a lot of rain in last 36 hours in KC and some posts referred to that being a likely cause.

Think the 95# magnet was probably a little overkill, but hey...it worked. Mine is about 1x2" that I bought at lowes in case I ever needed it. Looking on the bright side, you now have a magnet to retrieve your car from water should you get to close to the bay, river, or whatever. John

If your fridge boiler is getting that hot to trip the high temp protector, you might want to consider installing an ARP device. We had our cooling unit replaced twice last year, the first time due to crystals clogging the system, the second time due to the system leaking, I installed the ARP device that controls an additional fan that I installed also. The thing shuts the heat down when the boiler temp gets too hot, but before the builtin device trips, that you had to use the magnet on, and an hour later, it turns the fridge back on. The fridge has been working great since I installed it. I don't have any interest in this company, other than being a satisfied customer. https://www.arprv.com/
