Satellite Auto Antennas
I am looking at either a King or Wingard auto alignment satellite antenna. It appears that the antenna only aligns on one satellite at at a time. This will limit the channels. Do you get full HD with these antennas? Also I have 2 separate receivers on both HD televisions. I know both antennas will work with separate receivers.

We have a Winegard Traveler and receive full HD programming with Dish Network. Also have a Tailgater portable antenna that we use when parked under trees. It also receives HD on Dish. I don't think DirecTV works in HD on these antennas, only SD.

Ok, here's the deal. We started with a Wingard Carryout and it worked great. Had a ground mount and a mount for our ladder and it got HD fine. The only problem was that it only got one satellite at a time, so you could watch different shows in both parts of the rig, but they had to come from the same satellite. With the two receivers we also couldn't record on one and watch on the other. We've now gone to the roof mounted Winegard Traveler which can see all three satellites at the same time and a Dish Hopper with a Joey in the bedroom and so we can watch anything anywhere and what we record on one can be watched on the other. The only issue with that system is that you have to choose your spot and your location in it based on the antenna being able to see the satellites. I use a dish pointer app on my phone that shows me the satellites thru my camera so I can see if something is actually in the way to solve that issue.

I have had the Wineguard Carryout and the King tailgater. I much prefer the Tailgater. My experience is the tailgater is much easier to setup but my Carryout was several years old. With the tailgater you cut it on choose the state and it does every thing else. They only see one satellite at a time but switch satellites automatically. It takes a couple seconds.

Like Hook said we have Dish and receive all HD programming.

We have the Winegard Pathway x 2. We see all satelite and have good service through Dish. We has two receivers and are able to use both TVs. Dish can be turned on and off as you like.

We have the Winegard Traveler for Direct TV and it works great. We get full HD programing and it sees all 3 satellites at once. We also carry a ground mount dish incase there is a tree in the way with roof mounted one which is rare. Love the fully automatic Winegard roof mount, makes set-up so nice and easy!

I first installed a Kind Dome and it worked good except like Dick said above. I have now installed the traveler and now am very happy.

Call me before you buy. I can point you to a cheaper source. I have the pathway X2 with 2 vip211z receivers that I need to sell or trade. There is nothing wrong with Dish and this equipment, but I need to use my DirecTV equipment from home to save cost. Turning on Dish when I camped worked fine, but I need to save some cash, so I'm going to make the DirecTV stuff work so I can not pay more.
