Additional Stabilizers??
We have a 29.5 Mountaineer. Front jacks and rear stabilizers are pretty good. But, when walking around the 'house', the rig has some bounce. I was thinking some crackdown stabilizers mounted halfway between the F/R might help a lot. Right now it's the wheels and springs.. and they are designed to give. We also have a pin tripod.. but that doesn't help except for forward/backward movement.. which has never been much of a problem.
Another thought might be some cheap bottle jacks.. but, that might well be a PITA during wet weather.
Thoughts?
Bill

There are different stabilizers out there. We have JT Strongarm Stabilizers on ours and they work very well. There are other brands out there. I am sure someone else will give you the names of the other brands.

I bought a set of crank down jacks from Camping World and mounted them amidships. They do help some but you will still get some movement. We just ignore it.

Before we go the Level-ups, I had a set of four of the screw type aluminum stacker jacks that I would put beneath the frame fore and aft of the axles. Took practically all of the bounce out since it took the suspension out of the equation. It worked for us for years!

We have the SteadyFast stabilizers front/rear and the X-Chock-N-Lock's between the wheels. I also bought a set of the scissors jacks and place them just in front of the forward wheels from ground to frame. I didn't mount them permanently to the frame because of the grey tank drain piping on the street side is in the way but the jacks accompanied with the other devices mentioned before have taken out almost all movement in the rig. DW is happy so I'm elated! Tim

The High Country a few spaces over has crank down stabilizers in the middle. Don't know if that was factory or added by them. John

I installed the JT Strongarms on ours 5 years ago. Very happy with them. Washer/dryer used to really get the trailer shaking, but the JTs eliminated most of that, along with the walking movement. Never used the tripod again.

We have had our permanently installed stabilizers for 8 years and have been very, very happy. What they say about "momma being happy" is 100% true. The Bi Pod just didn't work for us plus Dutch hated putting it up and taking it down. Hugs, Di

In addition to the Lippert 6 point we left our rear JT stabilizers on. We're as steady as a rock.

We also left our rear stabilizers when we went with level-up. Before that we also had a heavy tripod jack. Don't waste your money on those.
