WiFi bridge to isolate Monty network

I know I've seen something on this subject, but my searches have failed.

I'd like to protect my network equipment used in the Monty from the CG WiFi. I need my hardwired and wireless equipment to connect to a piece of equipment that in turn connects to the CG WiFi.

Can someone point me to it?

When I need answers to questions like this I call the folks at http://3gstore.com They've been in the business a long time and so the unfortunate name. They know 4G backwards and forwards. The website is good and chats are ok, but on stuff like this I still like to talk to a human.

I use a Cradelpoint MBR1400. I have my internal WIFI network that all the house devices connect to (it also has cat 5 ports). The Cradlepoint connects to the park wifi, my wifi hotspot, and/or my att dongle and NATs our outbound traffic. We are basically isolated from other devices on the park wifi and we don't need to run around setting each device (just the cradle point) to connect to a new network every time we move. Not cheap but it's worked very well for us. There are many more features that drew me to it that you may not need or want but they make good stuff. I've owned a couple different devices.

edit: BTW I bought it from the 3GStore and agree they know their stuff.

I found the Pepwave Surf On-The-Go 3G/4G Router w/ WiFi as WAN on the 3GStore site. It seems to be what I want but for $99. Looks plenty capable.

Looks like it should do the job just fine. I'm a biased towards Cradlepoint so I'd also look at the Cradlepoint MBR95. Full disclosure I'm in no way affiliated just a very happy repeat customer.

I was just experimenting with some junk I had around the house and did the following cheap solution to my posted problem.

I took a WiFi Adapter like you use to get a wired device like a television connected to WiFi and connected that to the WAN port of a standard Linksys AP router. The WiFi adapter is an old WNCE2001 and the AP was a Linksys WRT54GL.

I had to use a laptop to configure the WNCE2001 for the local WiFi hotspot, then connect it to the WAN port of the AP/Router. I can now plug in my wired equipment to the router RJ45 ports and connect the wireless equipment to the local AP/Router.

I can use my Cellphone as a hotspot for 4G support and connect the WNCE2001 to it when there is no CG WiFi.

I imagine the range of my WNCE2001 is not as good as the PEPwave or Cradlepoint, but it might be good enough until Santa comes.

I have found some networks (campgrounds) do not allow routers on their system. Only direct unit connection. Just a comment.

We also use Pepwave. You sign on camp ground WIFI with Pepwave then you sign onto Pepwave with your computer. The Pepwave is WIFI and Cat 5 Ethernet. Unit attaches to window and has antenna. Helps with weak campground WIFI signals.
