Here we come, RGV!

We're ready to hit the road and come join you guys for some sun and fun! Our goodbyes have been said (the little girls were too busy with their friends and their snacks at Sunday School to hardly notice, but that's a good thing) and we're hooked up. Should be in Victoria Palms Monday or Tuesday night. Yeah!

Judy... we head out in the a.m. also. We probably won't get away until 10. We will be connecting with I35 at San Marcos, and then going around San Antonio on 410 and then down I37 to 281. Maybe we will see you... You are coming from the Ft. Worth area right?
If we don't see you on the road, then see you in the Valley...

Charlie, you're right. We were down at least 1.5 mpg. But the roads are good and flat so we just rolled along.

Myrna, we ended up staying at Three Rivers overnite and just arrived in Victoria Palms about noon. It's HOT! I can see one other Montana from our site. Maybe it's Vickster. Setting up in the hot weather wore us out. Even Greta is hot. We look forward to seeing you guys soon.

We too are getting close to the RGV. Tonight we are in Victoria. Should make it to BPV tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon if all goes well. 78 F in Victoria this afternoon, very nice after the cold and snow of Ontario.

Thanks, Carol. This weather is awesome. I think I like the cool evenings are the best. Went to meet the neighbors in their Montana and it's Vickster. We enjoyed meeting her and her hubby.

Glad to hear you made it Judy.. we pulled in about 4:30 today. The wind made the trip longer than we planned and the mpg were indeed lower. We are in Mission Gardens Resort, sp 355. We set up and went out for dinner, when we came back, there was no water. Someone broke a large main, so the park is without for the night!!!! We will head over to BPV tomorrow to see and meet those that are there. See you all soon...

Glad to hear that you made it safely. The wind was something, for sure. Our gas mileage took a hit. Guess we'll make it up when we head north in a couple of months. That's awful about the loss of water. Hope they get it fixed soon. Maybe we'll cross paths at BPV. What time will you be there?

Charlie, we had those headwinds most of the 1200 miles down here! Plus, the first two days we were on winterized diesel (reduces mileage 2 to 3 mpg) and the third day we had 1/3 tank of winterized diesel and 2/3 normal. Sure did suck the fuel the first three days!
