Rear Blind falls on couch

Our '17 305RL has decided to drop the rear blind half the time onto the back of the couch. Any clues why this has started and any thoughts?

Thought about upgrading to that company up by Dallas/ Fort Worth.

Thoughts and ideas appreciated.

Ram,

Most of the slow roll blinds are done by Irvine Shade. Their customer service is great. When I had a problem they walked me through how to test it and then sent me the repair part at no charge. If yours were not done by Irvine, I believe the other company is Ascot Shade.

I had the same issue. I called Irvine Shades (574) 522-1446, they told me that the three brackets put on at the plant were not enough for a shade of that length. They sent me more brackets; I now have five on it.

The whole blind assembly came down on our living room window heading to Mesa several years ago. Only held up by 3 screws. Put a total of 5 screws when we got down to our RV park. Sloppy workmanship as usual. This was on a 2010 3000RK.

ScottZ - Irvine Shades are GREAT Folks - the #2 Spring Clip like om my unit is discontinued. Going with the #4 clip that fastens to ceiling verses back wall . Maybe looking at the double shade system.

Talked to the "Blind Guy" about adding the Dual shades - pricing sounded reasonable.

Here is a link to a company just north of Dallas. MCD Shades. Good product and nice to work with.

Well drats and double drats - went to put in the new brackets finally - they didn't fit the blind - called and forwarded them pictures - not their blind … they gave me the number for United Shades - on wards and upwards …

Well it wasn't United Shades either - it is Ascot - they are sending more brackets - wonder if any shade vendors will be at the rally … food for thought for Montana, maybe more than two brackets should be considered for 73" wide shade - the last time it fell, it broke the latch on the emergency window - those are cheap as you have to buy the whole assembly

Ascot was good to deal with.

We have a 2017 Montana 3790RD. We bought brand new. Since the first time out a couple of the Irvine shades had a dab of black oily residue when we pulled them down. I cleaned it, we went on it wont come off! Still to this day my other shades, 80% of them all have a few of these black gooey spots. I cant get it completely off no matter what I use? Any suggestions?

Rear blind

My rear blind started falling down during travel and it was obvious to me that the end brackets were spreading out and had lost the ability to hold the blind in place. I found some foam blocks in a box at work and trimmed them to put pressure on the end brackets and hold the roller pin. It worked! Rear blind has not fallen down since. I probably should paint them black, but you have to be looking for them because they don’t stand out. They are hidden up in the valence. Design Review Committee (DW) did not notice them for quite a long time, but when she finally noticed them she approved!
