F250 Trailer Fault/Disconnect

Thanks to all who have had this problem and posted the problem and how they fixed the issue. I "had" the issue and I found the wire that runs between the left and right wheels on the front axle was shorting out to the axle. Replaced the wire and all is well. I also believe that the short was "weak" to the axle for a while as now the brakes seem to be stronger and the stopping power is better. I have lowered the controller from 8 to 6 and the brakes are still good.

Again, thanks to everyone for their past posts!!! The MOC Forum is a great source for help! and sharing!!

Replaced the wire between the wheels on both axles for the brakes today and made a test drive and all is well again! The temps did not get to the expected 50 degrees, but at least it is done.
