fan won't shut off on in board charger

Our fan won't shut off on the inboard charger. Has anyone had this problem. As soon as we plug in the camper it starts immediately. We have everything off and it still runs. We have a 2007 3400RL. Thanks for any help. Pathfinder

What is the state of charge in your battery when disconnected.

David - nosticks, asked one major question. What is the status of your battery.

The fan normally comes on when the converter is working hard to provide 12VDC to recharge the battery or assist with the operation of 12VDC motors.

If it runs continuously then the battery is dead and needs charge or the heat switch on the converter is bad keeping the fan on.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

I'm with everybody else, I suspect a dead or bad battery

Our fan runs all the time also, I called Iota and tech said sound like a weak circuit board! I then ask how long he thought it would last like that tech said it would be hard to tell? I've run with it this way all this summer just fine. We are home now after being out for 12 weeks and have a new converter ordered. I went with a ProgressI DynamIcs 60 amp.
