Mountain Shadow CG, in NC

Many, many years ago we were traveling from Texas back to NC when I was in the military. We had a Chevy van equipped by Travco. Slept 4 (two kids) porta potty, gas stove, heater, and outside water hookup for sink. Great little travel vehicle. But back to the subject.

As we were traveling we started looking for a CG as we got closer to Asheville, NC. I think we had a Woodalls' CG book. The DW found a CG South, or South East of Asheville called "Mountain Shadow Campground."

We trekked on down and found this wonderful, peaceful, CG nestled in the hills of NC. There were about a dozen sites that backed up to the running stream coming out of the mountain.

Here is my problem. I cannot find that CG listed anywhere. By chance, is there anyone out there who knows of, rememembers, or is in the area of Asheville, NC that can speak to where this campground was or is?

Thanks.

Tom,
Thank you so much. Where did you get the information from. I've been looking, but I don't have all the new CG directories and have been relying on the Web.

Thanks.

Wayne, I knew where it was but I didnt know the phone #. That's some of my old stomping grounds, We spend alot of time in that area over the years. If you going to be there a day or 2, you need to go back towards Ashville and eat at the "Moose" cafe. anyone around there can guide you there. its not far. Enjoy and travel safely.
