Help w/sewer Hose
I've been looking at the posted lists here of the things we will need to get as extras for our new 5r. When looking at sewer hose, I'm confused by all the different connections and fittings. I would like a somewhat well made hose but see so many. Some advice here might help. I did searches but just got more confused when looking at Dominator, Valterra and a number at AMZN.

I have been using the camco rino flex with a clear connector at the beginning of the 20 foot run for about 10 years. Probably on my third one. Also have a 10 foot extension just in case.

I use the camco rino flex also, it holds up well and not that expensive.

Bought the newest Rhino hose with built in clear fittings. Have enough hose to go 30 ft if necessary. It appears to be almost bullet proof.

Rinoflex for me. Carry a lot in a much smaller space. Mines 7 years old and no problems.

I like the Rihnoflex because when you compress it, it remains compressed until you pull on it to extend it again. If you only need 5' to reach the sewer connection then you can pull it to a 5' length and not have the extra 10' laying spread out on the ground.

What a great bunch of testimonials! Rhino it is. Only thing I need is the hose, extension and possibly end covers or such? Thanks for the comeback so quickly. Ordering now.

The Rhino kit comes with everything you need (covers, etc.) except the accordion hose holder for proper slope.

Good deal. I ordered the kit. looks like it has everything I'll need to get hooked up to the drain. I spent a bunch over there at AMZN on essentials - hoses, electrical stuff Progressive EMS thingy and 13 other items. Yikes! The extras add up.

Once you get things like you have ordered or gotten already, there will ALWAYS be something you JUST CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT but eventually your basement and storage will be full and you'll have to stop buying! Hey Rondo, if we run into each other, ask to look through one of my telescopes. The 3791RD has room to carry any of my medium sized scopes around in the big rear basement.

just get the higher priced hose and start getting the attachments. walmart has a variety and they are cheaper usually than an rv dealer.
keep it simple.

While you are shopping, get the exterior shutoff valve that goes on the end of the trailer drain. I forget the real name for it, but it just hooks on like a hose connection but has a valve inside and the same kind of hookup that was there. That way you can shut off the end of the drain, so when you take the end cap off, you don't have to get messy. An added advantage is if one of the real valves stops functioning, you can still get by for a while (assuming you get the real valve open one time).
