New owner of 2009 MOntana 3400RL
HI:
We are Marc and Nancy Morgan from the upstate of SC. WE have just bought our 1st 5th wheel . We previously owned a pop-up camper , so this is quite a change. We have been camping since we first met over 28 years ago. Our two sons are grown and don't go with us anymore and our 16 year old daughter have less and less interest of going ( the ole' "can't be seen with mom and dad" thing.
We have many great places to camp locally and will probably take a short maiden voyage to get use to it sometime in Sept. We have traveled all over the country in our tent or pop-up and look forward to using our 5th wheel to discover new places as well as visit some of our old favorites.
Maybe we'll see some of you on the road.
Have fun and be safe
Marc and Nancy Morgan

Welcome to the MOC forum. Check all the threads for some great advice and suggestions. If you happen to be interested in a small get-together (mini-rally), we are having a rally at Staunton, Va. the weekend after Labor Day at Walnut Hills Campground. It will be a great opportunity to meet some of the fine members of the forum. We would definitely enjoy your presence if you can manage to attend. The 3400 is a great floorplan and you have selected well. Enjoy it as much as you can!!

Marc & Nancy,
Welcome to the forum. Don't be afraid to ask questions and provide us with your experiences. We all learn together. In all my experiences, I've found more useful information on this forum than on any other.

Welcome aboard Marc and Nancy. That is quite a change, you might need a map to find your way around the first few days in that Monty.
Enjoy

You are right. Fifth wheeling is very different from the pop-up experience. For us, it was from backpacking to the fiver. It has been a great experience. In a year and a half we have landed in all but 16 of the 48 contiguous states plus parts of eastern Canada and Ontario.
I know you will have loads of memory making adventures in your new Montana. I hope it exceeds your expectations. Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Quite a transition there! Watch the height! Just think, no more getting out in the rain to crank or slide the beds out manually! We hardly ever have to do that on our Montana!
Enjoy that new rig, and maybe you can lure the daughter back into the action with all that space and front airbed?

Welcome to the forum. In your profile there is a signature section where you can put your model "2009 3400RL" and also what tow vehicle you have. As you can see everyone has a little different signature, but if we know what your model and tow vehicle are, it is easier to answer your questions etc. We have an older 3400 (04) and the wiring, converter etc are in different places from what you have. So knowing what year is also important. There are lots of experienced people here to help you solve any problems you run into. Hopefully they will be minor. We look forward to hearing about your adventures.
