Switch the sink bowls..
I wish the big side of the sink was on the left and the little side on the right..next to the counter space..
The little sink is to small for do the 'washing' and so I have to use the big sink for the washing and the little sink for the rinsing...so I have to 'cross' over the sink to put them in the dish rack..
And I love my sink covers...but man are they heavy....anyway to lighten the weight on them things?

Both my sinks are the same size. Or approximately the same size. Because if I use one cutting board in the left sink and the other in the right sink one of the cutting boards are sure to slip and fall in. But if I reverse the cutting boards they won't. So I need to label them one for right and one for the left sink where they will both fit without falling into the sink.

Our sinks are the same size and I don't have any problems switching the covers...

Another example of running changes, obviously Summer's sinks are different cause she has an 05.
My sinks are rather the same size too, and the covers are somewhere in storage, they are heavy, and I don't use them, personal life style choice, and so, took them out of Montana.

My sink sizes are very different...on side probably about a third wide as the other side...I'd rather have them close to the same size..like ya'll have...oh well live and learn..

Ours are the same size, too. We use them to cover up dirty dishes prior to dishwashing time, among other things. We sometimes use them as cutting boards, too, but most often for additional counter space. Ours are not really very heavy, just awkward to handle.
Summer, is there no room to put the dish rack on the other side? If not, then I agree that's not a real good design.

I agree 100% with Summer. I have an 04 3400, large sink, small sink, heavy covers.
BUT! I will overcome this obsticle because to me the rest is PERFECTION. Guess I really love my 3400RL.

Large sink and small sink configuration here too. Large on left, small on right so they were probably designed by a left handed person as most righties would start on the right w/ big sink. rinse in small and need the drainer on the left hand counter. So we just hafta be flexible if we are righties. Covers too heavy?? If they have only the one large finger hole, could you drill another to help with lifting? Those of us with arthritis do find those covers difficult to manage but a second hole might help. We like the covers as they are great when extra counter space is needed. A rack to hold them would fit between our kitchen wall and kitchen slideout without interfering with the slide.

Steve, It never occurred to me to use the sink covers to cover up dirty dishes in the sink. I'm going to have to remember where I stashed those things.

It's nice when company drops by unexpectedly and the dishwasher (me) is a bit slow. I'm a righty but must be a closet lefty 'cause I wash in the left, rinse in the right and the drainer is on the right. Maybe I'm just backwards.

We have two different sizes One on the left is bigger That is for washing one on right for rinsing. Guess they are all different. Ours is a 2004 3295.

Well, if I did not already KNOW that I can do very little with my left hand, I would have to say I was a closet lefty as well, but I have no misconceptions on that point, so I suppose I need to search for another excuse.

I 'know' it is a little thing in the over all scheme of things...but it absolutely drives me 'NUTS'...
Coursen I'm a 'righty'...so for me the 'big sink' should be on the 'left'...and the rinse sink on the right...or I could live with the two sinks being 'equally' the same size...using up the 'same space'..
Luckily hubby has come up with a superior work around...we will start using more plastic utensils and paper plates...lord this man must love me...or I'm a really great whiner

Okay so now we know the guy who designed our Monty's is 7 foot tall and left handed and single. That is why all of the cabinets are so high, the sinks are for left handed people (I'm a closet lefty and have been told all my life I do things backwards), the privacy doors went away and the cupboards have only one shelf when there could easily be two because 7' single guy does not need to take as much food with him. Oh and he is strong also otherwise he couldn't open those closet door latches. But where does he hang his feet on these short beds?
