Fireplace/Woodburner Glass

I know this doesn't pertain to 5th wheels, but thought I would share a little tip I found here at home. We have a fireplace with a wood burner insert. The glass doors sometimes get so black that it's a pain to remove. I found that "oven cleaner" removes the soot with ease. (actually it was my husbands find) There, I admitted it.

Another thing that will work is, if it is not too black is to use a damp rag and dip into the ashes and rub it onto the glass.

Hopefully I will never have to clean the fireplace glass again. Being a winter texan is great.

Hi,

I have used an Sos pad for years with success.
Thanks for the tip on oven cleaner. I'll have to get the non stinky kind.
