2010 GM Nav Disc
For those of you with the GM built in Nav system, the 2010 discs are available thru www.gmnavdisc.com. They are pretty proud of them suckers. I just hope they have been updated correctly. Possibly with more POI's. Time will tell.

I hope they are better than the ones two years ago. We used ours to go to a Mini Montana rally in Georgia. We were on a rural road with nothing on either side of the road and nothing in front of us. Just fields when the navigation says "You have arrived at you destination" And yes the correct address was put in.

You are right, they are proud of them. I will just use my portable Garmin as a back up.

The GM indash Nav systems does give you the WOW factor, and we did really look at the indash. We have used the Garmin portable for several years and have had no issues, we just plug it up to the computer and update every two years. My issue with the indash systems was if it quits working I can imagine the cost factor after warranty. We also have a indash on the Freightliner but its a Garmin system and since I bought the FL preowned I didn't have a choice. But I really think I will keep the portable. I really like the Garmin systems, keep in mind nothing is perfect. But the cost difference is the factor also, at the time I ordered the 2008 Chevy the indash was I think about $1,800 and the Garmin was $600.00 and can be used between all vehicles. Good Luck with your updates. GBY......

I have a portable Magellan Road Mate as back up and when I use a rental car. The in dash system was a dealer freebee, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered one. Hugh, I have had that problem before, even with the Magellan $600 unit. Hopefully in the last two years they have refined them somewhat, we will see in the weeks to come. Got it loaded last night.
