Folks might want to check something. I was told that a credit card company has to reimburse in the case of credit card fraud, but do not have to when using a debit card since the money comes from a checking account. Has anyone else heard this and can anyone confirm??????

Keep a list of all credit card provider phone numbers. Code it by switching some of the numbers around to your taste and place it in a safe place. Should you loose your purse or wallet, call every credit card company you deal with and report the loss.

keep one good credit card with the list of credit card providers. That way, when you have turned off all the cards that were stolen, you still have one to operate with.

Thanks Roger, I guess the whole reimbursement deal rests on WHEN you notify your bank.

Wayne, That is a GREAT idea since sometimes you may not be in a position to find the phone numbers to cancel a card. i.e. no internet or phone service......

Phil,
Any thieves (heaven forbid) that may break into you RV will be looking for items to resell. Tape the list to the bottom of a kitchen cabinet shelf, or drawer. Most likely they will skip over it being in a hurry to get the more tangible resale items. (tv, VCR, etc.)

Another idea is to cut a piece of Luan to the same dimension of the inside of a drawer and put the list under the Luan. You can find Luan in a hardware/lumber store.

Darn! Giving all my secrets away.
