Light switches at entry???

Question: Why aren't the light switches at the entry door?? It seems weird to have to stumble in the dark to reach a light switch--not to mention unsafe...The cost can't be that much for just a few more feet of wires. Our previous 5th wheel (another manufacturer) had them at the front door and it is considered a lower end model.
Thanks in advance for the response.

This is a very good question, one that I've asked myself several times since we parked our rig at home. I have to go all the way into the rig to turn on a light. Even worse, you have to turn off the light and leave the rig in the dark. Those steps are dangerous with the light on. Some folks have put the round push lights near the steps which we may have to consider. But they run on batteries so the wiring would be nice to have. Someone will be along with a solution, I bet.

Must depend on the model. My switches are at the door.
