New Lippert Rodeo Theater chairs

Just got our theater chairs replaced under warranty. They are okay until you need to get our of them. DW needs to sit up a bit to find the button to push. Chair then leans forward until footrest hits the floor nearly ejecting her. After this as happened a few times, I looked underneath to see what is going on.

WOW

when fully reclined ones bottom is right at or beyond the front feet. so leaning forward to find teh switch turns the chair into a seewsaw. There is room to extend the feet forward on the chair to prevent this.

have to give DW credit she was able to not spill a drop of her wine. She does need help getting out of the chair every time it happens.

The feet dig into the floor causing marks.

I do not pity the Lippert folks at the Rally. I am not going to spare them.

Shoot she may be sparing them a lawsuit.

One of the best things about the Rally is getting to express your opinions and over the years some things have changed because of it.

What was wrong with the original recliners? I have the cup holder buttons and they don't work easily and I'd like to get mine replaced.

Yes, the cupholder buttons were difficult to operate. What was wrong with ours was the linkage would pop and the chair would shudder. It would be just a matter of time before it totally failed.

These new chairs not safe.

I will be hooked up with folks at Lippert later today. I will bring up the cup holder buttons also.

An example of why like many others, we replace all OEM furniture with quality stuff, and give or donate the furniture we pull out. We justify the expense since we snowbird in Florida and spend 8 months of the year in our rigs. Our first and second Montana units had decent furniture. Not any more, the furniture provided with our 2015 was garbage, even the dining table chairs which we replaced as well.

They are junk. I've had mine tip over multiple times. The side panels are bent out. Let me know what Lippert says.

I am curious as to what replacement furniture you like. Photos?

Okay the Rodeo part of our chairs was due to the fact the replacement chairs need to be anchored to the floor. The Dealer did not do that. When DW pointed out the seat of the recliner will shift, the Lippert rep said these were the lowest level of powered recliners. For an additional cost we could upgrade them.

In the 2020's it looks like the chairs have been upgraded.
Our fix is to jus deal with them until we get home and swap them out with some reliners we had bought for our SOB TT and hald onto them as a just in case. Being a packrat has its advantages.

While not being too pleased to find out we had low end furniture in a "luxury" 5er. Both Montana and Lippert were very helpful in getting to a solution.

Side note:
At the Rally Mark Krol mentioned that they are moving to putting in better components in and letting the price increase a bit. Even at the risk of market share to put out a better product. The furniture in the 2020s do look to be an upgrade and solid wood stiles in the cabinets are now standard.
