Kitchen Island

We just bought a 2019 3791RD and would like to add the fold down extension to the kitchen island that comes with the 3731FL. Has anyone done this?

Talk with your dealer if it must be an exact match. They should be able to order for you. Price might give you sticker shock though.

We currently have our 2017 3791RD at Camping World. They will be installing a counter extension on our island. WeBeFullTime is correct. It is very expensive. The extension and hinges are about $200 plus the labor to install them. We hope it will be worth it in the end.

We also just purchased a 2019 3791RD and the wife asked the sales ladies the cost to add on and the dealer through it in for free including install. The deal we got just seem to be better and better the more I read and hear when talking with people. Getting it installed next week as it took about 4 weeks to get it from Keystone.

Yes, we added the extensions, EXCEPT - I did a custom install and used Boos Butcher Blocks on both sides - https://www.johnboos.com/Index.asp?s=r

The Boos are excellent and really save the counter when chopping and cutting - easy to clean and condition and will last a lifetime.

DW ran me out of the kitchen so the angle is not great, but you get the idea.

See below. They come in any size and thickness.

Here is one in the daylight.
Also, I put blocks of wood up under the cabinet to screw the brackets into and reinforce the weight on the counter. Should support 200 lbs. You will also notice that one side is flush and the other side is dropped down just a bit. This is what DW wanted so that when she was using the big mixer the back of the mixer (or a bowl) would not slide backwards into the sink. They work beautifully. I used the Hard Rock Maple blocks.

I made my own top and leg/stand extensions but would really like to know more about the pictures hinges and your experience with them.

Was this an option on the 2018 3920? I have looked but cant find any information. I would like the extensions to match the existing counter.

I purchased the brackets/hinges from Amazon. These work perfect. What do you need to know?

I’m going to do the same thing on ours. Do you remember the part number for the brackets?
