converter problem

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what might cause the breaker to trip on my 55 amp converter. This has happened to me on three seperate occasions, while hooked onto both 30 and 50 amp shore power. We have a 2006, 2980rl that is less than six months old.

Ours flipped and we lost our AC on one trip and then the refrigerator on the second trip. We even took it back to the dealer for them to service it.

The problem was solved by adding water to the battery. We have two batteries, but one was low on water so it flipped the breakers. We have added the water..... no more problems. We will now check the water level in both batteries once a month.

PatandJohn,

My unit is only 1 year old. When I purchased it 2 months ago the battery was bad so they replaced it. Less than a week later the converter went out. You might want to have the service center take a look just to make sure there are no converter problems.

Hope this helps.
Phil
