It's a rare event to get a new truck (at least for me!). I saw one of these this week in a parking lot and just had to give it the once over. Beautiful looking truck! Can't go wrong with the Cummins! Enjoy!

Wow Nice Ram!!!!!
I love the new style fenders for the rear duels, it's not old school any more. are you required to use (spelled wrong) Urea in this year or is dodge exzempt this year.

I believe they use the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) in the Cummins 6.7L. Some other engine makers use Urea.

i think the last of the 2010 donnot use urea.and if they have left over 2010 engine they can use them up before installing the 2011 model engine that take the urea.all 2011 even big trucks have the urea systems on them now.chryslers transports are macks and they have urea systems.

Congrats on the new truck. The Urea will be on the 2011 models. I think it's a requirement then. The Fords have a 5 gallon tank on them. Lasts about 5000 miles normal driving. Towing, it goes a little quicker. I get a warning at 800 miles. If it runs completely out, shuts the truck down. Good Luck with the your new ride.

I know you get the warning at about 800 miles to empty, but do you have any kind of gauge to let you know what you actually have in that five gallon tank?

No there is no gauge. Just the message on the Info center. It counts down the miles from 800 on down. It reminds you every time you start the vehicle. Shows you how many miles you have left.

Thanks...so I guess the strategy when on long trips away from home should include carrying a container of the DEF fluid????

Would not be a bad idea, although you can get it at any Ford dealer and they say O'Reillys and AutoZone carry it too. About $20 for 2 1/2 gallons at the dealer.
