Satellite Internet

Going to Dish high speed internet. This is the only high speed we can get at our stick house, We have checked with everyone, same old story no coverage in your area. We have dish network tv.service. The question I have is how you check into your e-mail and stuff while you are wintering in Texas? Do you have to haul the dish to Texas?

Don't use the email account that comes with the service, use web based emails, yahoo, hot mail, gmail. Then it does not matter what service you use to access the internet.

Have you checked air cards?? That is changing the internet highways. We had the Hughesnet thingy for years, found out we could get a Sprint aircard, and it actully pings 4 times faster than the Hughesnet did. AND we can take it with us, no suspending service to save $$, small little beauty, easy to cart around.

That said, web based email worked for when we had satellite, and now works just as well for air card. Can use them in libraries and wifi services at campgrounds, if you can get online, you can read the email.
