Rebate from Keystone

If anyone is looking to purchase a new 2006 Keystone product, looks like you can get $1,500 to your down payment! They have a rebate form on their website.

Usually when an auto company does that, it means that sales aren't going well. Hmmmmmm

Maybe they are trying to generate sales to close out the year end. Perhaps they need to meet some goals for stock purposes? Maybe the upper management needs to make sure they get their bonus money?

Stiles,

Could be, but I sure thought when we were on the plant tour at the Fall Rally that they told us they had orders enough to build up to November something, like 3 months.

Then again the economy for the working stiff is soft. Lots of folks being laid off or are caught up in downsizing. The auto industry is bleeding jobs..Rv's are a luxury.. The luxaties are the first to go. When sales are going well the manufacturere does not need to offer incentitives.

Since it is on 2006 models, maybe they are just trying to sell off last years models inventory. That is not unusual at the end of the fiscal year. There is so much construction going on here in So. Calif. (both commercial and residential) that it is difficult to remember other areas are not doing well.
Happy trails....................

Hello Shirley,

Where did you find this information and is it for 2006 models or for 2007s purchased in 2006?

The rebate does not mention the Cambridge, but you could always use that in the dickering! Heh Glenn, you sure you are going to wait till Jan.?

Emmel,
Thanks for the update, I could not get the link to open on my computer and I was not sure if it said Cambridge or not. I have another little coupon up my sleeve anyway =)

There are a lot of 2006 models still on the lots. We are looking at two of them this weekend. I think when they introduced the new 2007 with different graphics and different front end setting on the same lot- probably for the same price - people just moved right to the 2007.

That happens with autos - the new design immediately dates the old one and they become hard to sell.

If Montana is 'giving' away a $1,500 rebate...you know they are getting it back somewhere else.

Craig and Cheryl - It may all work out good! I'm sure in the long run it all comes out in the wash - but if the rebate is direct from Keystone to me - I won't let the dealer try to absorb it in negotiation.

These are two 3475RL we are looking at - pressure is on now that I find out they are discontinued as well!
