My refer quit working on propane. The electric portion worked fine but when I switched to gas, the "check" light would come on every time. I finally got around to taking it to the RV Doctor (RV Care Center, Bullhead City, AZ) for a diagnosis. He turned off the propane, pulled the outside panel, and hooked a manometer to the pressure test point. When he turned the propane back on, there was 0 pressure...Nado...Zip. Hmmm. Started the furnace...it came on and worked great. Lite a burner on the stove...it lit but with a low flame. He then disconnected the line between the flexible hose to the slide-out and the fixed tubing leading up to the refer and stove. About a 1/4 cup of liquid came out of the tubing. This fluid was from additives normally put into propane and had apparently built up over the 4 years we have had the Monty. He cleaned the tube, burner inlet, igniter, reassembled everything and had me on my way in about 1 1/2 hours.
His charge? $87 and change. And the refer is at 1 degree in the freezer and 36 degrees in the main box on propane. I am a happy camper again.
I do recommend this company. They have done several different projects for me and have always been honest and charged a fair price.
