In a home propane appliance installation they always put a short drop tube in the line with a cap that can be removed. It's purpose is to provide a place for the contaminants to settle and be removed before they affect the performance of the appliance. Just another example of the RV companies taking the shortcuts that come back to bite us in the a**.
