3791RD Outer Slidout Wall Thickness?

Have a dinette slide on our Monty. The shade over the large window next to the table on the outside facing wall fell off on a very bumpy trip to Canada.

Are the outside/wide slideout walls of the Monty also aluminum framed like the other walls are? If so...do you know the thickness?

The shade was held up with 3 short screws...no wonder it fell off. Was going to use anchors or use sheet metal screws and mount to the studs...if there are any.

We've had a couple come loose. Just had to use anchors to make things work. You will never be so lucky to have a stud behind where you need to put a screw. I have also found, with the day-night shades, that the tension on the cords is sometimes way tighter than needed, and that may have caused the shades to break free.

Have those MCD shades there. They are very heavy. Hard to believe that those long and heavy shades stayed up there for the 4 months they did before falling off.

Just need to confirm the the outer slide wall is also studded with aluminum studs as well? The Monty construction YouTube says the slide end walls are studded. Am thinking the outer wall is not?

All your exterior walls including the slide outs are aluminum framed with "studs" similar to stick house construction. They are not spaced on 16" centers, but rather hap hazardly as structurally needed. On a heavy dew morning, you'll see most all the wall frame work standing out from the sidewall itself. I think the aluminum tubing is 2" square.

The montana sales lit says "welded, aluminum framed walls, floors, and slide-outs". John
