2009 Big Sky Anniversary Edition Front Lifts

Nothing but problems with our front jacks since purchasing new Big Sky in 2010. Blew the fuse almost every time we tried to lift the front of the 5th wheel to hook back up to the pickup. Husband had to manually crank the trailer up many times. New fuse would blow immediately. Extended warranty helped, but still had to pay deductible. After 3 different "repair" fixes to the tune of $100-$300 each fix, I finally spent $900 out of pocket to upgrade to two separate motors for the 2 jacks. Anybody else had this issue? I would like to submit all my receipts to Keystone and see if they will help me out.

From what I recall on the older models, I assume you are referencing the in-line fuse. On ours and other models, I likewise recall that there was some discrepancy in the fuse ratings. Some came with 30 amp and some came with 40 amp. We were having a similar problem on our 3400 and replaced the 30 amp fuse with a 40 and never had a problem afterwards (other than a repeated blowing of the fuse when the rear stabilizers were left down and trying to raise the front!!). Another fix was to replace the in-line fuse with a reset breaker. I very much doubt if Keystone will remedy anything since the two motor fix was done at your option, but it is worth a try.

I have the 3400 '08 I bought new and had the same problem.
I did exactly what Bingo suggested "in-line fuse with a reset breaker"
and haven't had any problem for the last 7 years.
