Carefree makes a pull shade that you can install - http://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/rv...asp?m=01010406 but its a little oversize 30" X up to 23". I didn't install one as there is just not a lot of headroom in the garden tub version of the Montana.

They do make nice shades for all the 14" X 14" vents.

We use just the aluminum bubble wrap cover for the rectangle over the tub. We use both the pillow and the bubble wrap on the square skylight over the stairs in our 3400. Good combination. We don't like light waking us up in the morning - we're both retired.

Buy a cheap aluminum windshield protector and cut it to fit. Use some stick-on velcro to attach to frame of sky light. You can also use the remaining piece in other vents or windows to reflect the sun during the heat of the day.

Terrie sewed the velcro onto the bubble wrap. In our 3400, we use two of the silver bubble wrapped velcro and just let the light come in over the shower. Does a reasonably good job. It should all be available at CW.

I just cut cardboard slightly larger than the opening and press it in the skylight opening. Use this for all my skylights. They are easy to store and you can easily replace them if need be - plus they are free.

We use CW's pillows over the vents and a piece of cardboard over the shower skylight.

We use a piece of dark material, put a hem around it and velcro in the corners. Works great and still allows some are to get in.

There is a thread on this subject. One suggestion I heard was to use existing screw holes to fasten the Velcro to the frame, otherwise the heat melts the glue. If I can find the thread I will modify this post.

I finally got tired of the heat causing the velcro to loose its adhesion and letting the foil widow cover hang from the shower skylight.
I went to Lowes and had a peice of plexiglass cut that is the same size as the outer edge of the plastic trim. I pulled the trim and laid it on the plexi to mark the mounting hole location and carefully drilled the plexi. I then put som limo dark tinting from Wally World on the top side of the plexi. The window cover was trimmed to fit just inside the skylight opening and on top of the now shaded plexi. Reattach trim with plexi in place to complete the job. One just has to be carefull not to over tighten the screws, or the plexi will crack. I think I have cracks around 2 or 3 screw holes, but with the tint you can't see them and they're not hurting anything. This is more of a permanant fix, but that's fine with us as we don't like the light pouring in in the morning, and the foil window cover really keeps the heat out. The tinting is really more for looks than anything else. It hides the foil well.

If you want to make a pain in the a** project out of this, here is what I did.

Remove the skylight and CAREFULLY remove the original plastic dome. Replace w/plexiglass and put a piece of glass that has window tint applied to it on top of the plexiglass. It is important to have the window tint between the plexiglass and the regular glass or else the sun will cause the tint to warp.

This resulted in a significant reduction in light AND heat entering the TT while still having a skylight. I also put a piece of foam weather strip around the lip of the skylight just to prevent moisture from getting into the space between the skylight and the outer dome.

And when you finish, bang your head against the wall three times to complete the aggrevation caused by this modification.

We saved our money and eliminated those hassles by going to bed earlier.

When you remove the trim bezel from the shower skylight, the inner clear bubble comes out with it. We just took a piece of beige sheet and cut it to fit between the inner and outer bubbles. Lets in plenty of light during the day, is dark at night, and protects the interior from the sun while the unit's in storage.
