Front Mirror

Our Brand/new unit came like that...dealer was supposed to have ordered a new one to be installed on the next visit. Well, still have the same nasty looking thing..we really impress other 5th wheel owners that we camp next to them. Not good advertising for Montana.

Ours had black streaks to. Got a new one in the mail under warranty. I replaced it. Took some finish off under the mirror while removing the old one.

Had mine replaced at the 2018 Fall Rally at the service center. It was doing the same thing. It's been 8 months now and still is in good shape without any black streaks. Still don't use it but it looks good.

You would think after 75% of the owners of rigs reported the same issue that maybe Keystone would go "geee maybe this is an issue we should address".........

It amazes me the number of issues that are common to nearly every rig that Keystone more or less totally ignores. You would think that company reputation would be worth something to them......

Had the same problem with my 2018 330rl. I took a buffer and buffed the mirror off and it was a shiny black underneath that matches the rest of the black on the cap .

Mine came from the factory that way and was noted in the initial inspection at CW. Of course it will be fixed etc etc etc when you pick it up..... course it was not CW kept saying the factory was out of them etc. 6 month later CW calls and says drop of the rig and I can have it back "in a while" 8^) yup you guessed it a week or so. Course my wife is FT in it so I told them I would do it myself. Then CW did not want to give me the new mirror without first turning in the old one on and on.... The replacement is the same crap that was on the trailer to begin with. I like the idea of replacing it with black and placing lettering or something else on it.

We have a 2018 3120 RL. We recently saw the entire reflective sheet peel off and go flying down the highway. Never looked at it before and don't miss it now.

Had the same issue with my 306RL. Dealer will replace (warranty) when I return from my trip. They've replaced several. It's a known problem from a bad batch of mirrors. My mirror is very helpful because of my aluminum re-enforced roll up truck bed cover. I also added a strip of yellow tale to my tailgate so I know I''m aligned when I back up to engage the hitch.

I use the re-enforced cover because I live at 5300 feet in snow country and it handles the snow load.

It's a vinyl on vinyl decal that she made and then stuck it to the mirror. She made a template and hand cut the black vinyl that is the backing. She has a crafting material "cutter" that cut the vinyl letters.

Someone else she talked to recommended removing the mirror and assembling it all in the house and then reapplying the mirror to the 5'er.

What mirror? You mean that blurry, useless thing on the nose?

Picked ours up from CW and they had "accidentally" cleaned the silver completely off when they did their first wash for us leaving it completely black. They said it looked better black and although I agreed, they had already ordered a replacement and had it shipped right to my home. I have never put it on. We like the black better and since this is our first FW, we've never had a mirror there and don't miss it. I like the vinyl lettering idea. May ask my wife to pull out her Cricket...
