Johnny, are you saying that you ordered the upgraded fridge? I am curious how this will look in your 3400. We did not order the increased size, due to the cost, but I would be very interested to see if they have to modify any cupboard/counter space. Keep us updated.

We have the larger fridge. It is 2 cubic feet larger and fits in the same space. The outside measurements are the same. They added the 2 feet by using new tecnologically superior thinner insulation. The new fridge works great and it really does hold alot more in the fridge and the freezer. We ordered the large fridge because I was bummed Montana did not have the 4 door 12 cubic feet fridge the other fiver we were looking at- the H. R. Presidential. I do not know if the 2 feet are worth the price Montana charges, but then again we got 33% off the list.

We just took our third trip in our 3400 to a little town called westport ca and guess what happened on the way the middle pantry door opened and then fell off to the floor sending alot of little thing sailing through out the cabin not a happy sight when we opened the entrydoore ready to set up the thing I found out about this little problem was just a bit upseting all of the doors to all cabinets in the coach were put together with about half inch wood screws through a flemsey hinge into partical board a recipe for just this failure I was able to fix for the short term there my question is this why does keystone keep useing this product for the money we spend they can and should make a upgrade I will do MAJOR UP GRADE TO MY MONTY without the help of my local dealer allo they will do is the same tired type of fix as the orignal product and that is in my mind unexceptable all the little screws in the coach on all cabinets are in crooked or over tight so please take a close look at yours so you don't get this little suprise it's a big pain in backside

Someone mentioned that Montana might not be the ones assembling these cupboards. They might already be "pre-assembled" (hinges/screws) before the plant gets them and the Old World Craftsman just anchor them in the units. If this is true, Montana needs to go back to their vendor and "sternly" mention that they can't afford the publicity of shoddy workmanship - especially now that they are trying to start advertising "four season living ability" on their 2007s...

It is odd that many people are having issues with stripped screws and I am sure this is from battery powered drills over torquing. I am lucky and my unit has not had a single cupboard screw come loose and I just did 3500 miles on less than perfect roads.
As was mentioned in earlier posts, a little woodglue on a round tooth pick pushed into the stripped hole. Wait 24 hours and HAND tighten the screw. Voila! fixed.

I agree, Don. I like Rich's idea of even just doing a couple screws, with your method, right now in each cupboard until you get a chance to methodically replace all this way.

It is all about weight and cost although I do not understand why longer screws od screw and glue cannot be used.I had several that were loose and I used the screw and glue method. You will find cabinets in homes that are the same composition..of course they do not bounce down the road. I think I mentioned that there are 156 hinge screws in the 3400 and 20 Plus were loose. This is one of those areas where we will have to bring the "recreational vehicle" up to standards that conform with our use.

So glad that over the past 3 years of use, I have not had 1 single screw come out. Not 1 door fall off, or have I found 1 "over torqued" screw. Seems to be a trend happening with the late 06 and early 07 models???

In early 2004 model run, 3 windows, 2 small ones, on either side of the bed, 1 large one over the dresser.

One large (emergency exit) window over the dresser and one small one on the front side of the slide out near the head of the bed. Sounds like we have been the victims of window downsizing.

Rich, are you counting the ones in the side of the bedroom slide? Isn't that 3?

Looking at the floor plans for the 07 3400 I sure don't see a window on one side of the bedroom slide, there is that cupboard (wardrobe) there, no window in the wardrobe is there??

I have a window cause I got the old bedroom style, queen bed and a window on either side, no big wardrobe, long dresser, not the tall dresser, etc.

So you are saying the 2007 3400 has only one window in the slide?

yep, it is the only way it shows it in the online brochures, go back to the ones you posted the URL's for Dave, you can see the windows if you look carefully.

Thanks, Carol! It looks like the 3400 NEVER had 2 windows in the bedroom slide. The 3670 did and it looks like it also extended out further than the 3400.

*On Edit~ I see the wardrobe now, Rich. Don't know what I was thinking. I knew the wardobe was there, just automatically figured the window was there too for some reason.
