Outside TV
Setting up our new rig. Wanting to add an outside tv in the pass through storage compartment. Ordered a MorRyde sliding tv mount. I'm wondering if I need to order a specific travel friendly tv or if I can get a regular tv from the local box store? Thank you for your help.

You can use a regular TV, just needs to fit. Just need to figure out the mount for the back. Most have different patterns on the back but not to difficult.

Absolutely a regular TV is fine. I think we all recognize that miles on the road will result in wear and tear and possible shorter life on some items.

Our Montana came with an outside TV in a storage area under the dinningroom window. It was the same brand as the other TV's in the rig.

Consider one with built in dvd and perhaps one that runs on 12 volt.

Took our 50" 4K from S&B for larger entertainment area tv. Installed OEM tv in basement using Morryde's sliding storage tray. Any standard VESA mount will work.

I had been using the 12V supplied bedroom TV with our 5er in the front basement but it has such a poor picture, small size and useless sound am setting up a 'spare' Vizio which is just a size smaller then the OEM Vizio but the same series, I will need to reinfoce the bulkhead for that bigger, heavier TV, using some on hand 5/8 or 3/4 inch plywood along with a heavier mount. Fairly easy job if you have a few tools and a bit of time

I bought a 46" viszio and placed in opening of cargo area and when not using just turned face against the left side wall and ran bungee strap around. Mounted the bungee hooks to the wall, Got a 4" piece of cut foam and placed between face of tv and wall to keep it snug.

X2 for TLightning. My experience with the outside TV is that the TV is too loud and usually no one is watching. RV parks need a "no outside TV" zone for those of us who don't want to hear them. Of course no one can really see the picture due to outdoor light -- SUN--is to bright. OK--got that off my mind!

I just invested in a pair of bluetooth earphones to use with our outside TV so I wont be a nuisance to others. The blue tooth sender and earphones were less then $75 via Amazon though you can spend lots more for 'name brands' like Bose or SONY. I also use another pair at the S&B since my hearing ain't what it was.

Only time we have used ours is NASCAR Sunday’s.
It’s odd how many people are attracted to fast cars and beer!

As with DQDick ,we habe an outside TV under the dining room window, same brand as the inside TVs.
On a different track . . . . . I have no need or interest in the outside TV. I would like to repurpose this storage space outside but its very shallow.
Any ideas out there?
