Need help

I need to sell my Montana 3750fl, wondering if anyone has any ideas on th best route to go about it. I placed it here in the classified section but was hoping someone with more experience can give some ideas on a better route to sell. My local dealer will buy it outright for $25k. I was hoping for more in the $35k range. Any thoughts?

Try Craig's list. That's worked for a number of folks.

25K is way too low. The dealer is not doing you any favors unless the rig is not in decent condition. Check NADA for retail value.

Try consignment with Camping World. You will know up front what you will receive if it sells.

from nada private sale would be some less because of as is consideration. dealer on consignment is better option.

Thanks for the help everyone, I thought about consignment but am afraid how long it will take to sell.

Having investigated this, a dealer consignment will offer you wholesale NADA book price and they will list it for Retail NADA book price. Obviously condition may affect the price. If the dealer has to reduce the price to sell the unit your price will decrease accordingly. A new NADA book comes out quarterly with reduced prices and your rig will priced accordingly.

Consignment is a painless way to sell. Craig's list, EBay, local parking lots with for sale signs and advertising everywhere you can takes more involvement from you but usually results in a higher return.

I have had very good luck selling tons of stuff on Craigs list, from construction equipment to vehicles. Just be careful of scams.

Craigslist is good. I also have had success with RV Trader. It gets you a great deal of exposure. You should be looking at 40k range retail, less wholesale. Depends on equipment / options and market in area you advertise. It's also best to stage the RV. Get everything out. Make it look like a new unit. No pictures, stuff in drawers etc. Super-clean everything. We buy with our nose! Repair items, torn carpet, touch up cabinets if scratched. Clean sewer three times. I set my last RV up at an RV Park. All hooked up, so buyer could see that everything worked. Especially important with a 3750. All five slides open and make sure it's well ventilated. Have air or heat running when buyers/ prospects arrive! Also get out all those books, brochures that came with trailer and display them on table. Just few ideas to help you get top dollar.

Thanks again everyone those are some great ideas and tips. I've had one person contact through this site but he hasn't returned my reply email. I was looking to get around 40k for it but at this point just want to be done with it. I will list on Craigslist and see how that goes.

Camping World will not reduce the price to make a sale. Only you can do that.
