Newly Retired

Hello from the Great State of South Carolina. We have been the total route of camping from the tents to the pop-ups to the travel trailer and now finally to the luxury and comfort of our new Montana.

As an over-the-road trucker for the past twenty-eight years, our camping trips were a week at a time affairs whenever we could get some time off. Last December we decided to retire and get to know one another again. In preparation, we ordered our 3400RL just like we wanted it and have managed some two-week plus trips to various places in the southeast even as we were catching up on years of honey-dos. We couldn't be more pleased with our Montana. We will be off for a month in middle Tennessee soon and then we are going to Florida for the winter. Retirement: The absolute best job I've ever had! Montana: The absolute best camper I've ever had!

Buz,
Welcome to the forum. Here you will find answers to almost any question you might have as long as you ask. We all have had different experiences with our rigs and there sure are a lot of 3400RLs out there.

I've found that retirement is the best life ever!

Welcome to MOC! I agree about retirement. Makes working 40 years worth it. Especially like the no alarm in the mornings.

Welcome to the top of the hill (its been uphill so far, now you can rest). My calendar has 6 Saturdays and a Sunday on it too! Just be careful not to over do on the honey-do list. There is time enough to get it done. Enjoy your retirement and live your dreams. Bob

WELCOME Buz. I am sure you're gonna enjoy retirement, your new Monty and the MOC. Be sure to SLOW DOWN and SMELL THE ROSES and those "honey-dos" will get done sooner or later. I much prefer later but sometimes the honey has other ideas.

AND REMEMBER....
You know you are retired when you wake up in the morning with
nothing to do and go to bed at night with it only half done.

BUT, Keep in mind, doing nothing can be a very
tiresome job because you cannot stop to rest.
