I tossed mine. Last trip one broke. The trailer was new so the dealer replaced it. It lasted less than two weeks this trip.
I put the 'O' rings under and used round head screws and washers instead of the flat heads that it came with. No matter - broke.
So when I was in Pahrump I went to the Ace hardware and bought and installed two of the bent (U bolt) latches similar to the swingout T.V. latch.
No more problems.
The latch is glued to the mirror with 3M 5200, taped in place while the 5200 set overnight. Clean the glass and the metal pad with brake cleaner or similar solvent. Get several long strips of tape ready ahead of time as the pad will want to slide and you want to stop that S.A.P.
Many people think of 3m5200 as a caulk,it's not. It is a structural adhesive. As long as the surface is suitable and clean it will have to be cut off or heated careflly to remove. Be sure you mount it where you really want it. It will be permanent.
Any excess can be carefully trimmed away LATER with a razor blade scraper.

After going through several, we chucked them and went with spring-loaded curtain rods. Theywork perfectly.

Gave up on them. We use two spring loaded curtain rods to hold the closets shut while traveling. Haven't lost one yet!
