DC trouble

I'm dumber than a a bag a rocks when it comes to electrical problems. Today found a DC fuse out and tired to replace it three times and it burned out immediately each time--told you that I was slow. It is the fuse marked for the A/C (imagine it is for the thermostat) and also does the power to the light and fan on the stove and the light over the sink.

Does anyone have a methodology for a dummy to use in tracing down a short or had a problem with this circuit?

The immediate blowing (burning out) of the fuse means you have two wires touching. The only option is to check the electrical connection for each of those items and see if you can find where they are rubbing together. Since I use the term rubbing together you may have to chase the wiring under the slide if your kitchen is on a slide. Good luck. I hope others can help also.
Was there any action or movement of a slide just before this problem happened?

Remove the bulbs from the lights, then try the fuse. The next step would be to remove all the (12 volt) power wires to all those loads, then try the fuse. If it does not blow, then hook up one at a time until it blows.

No kitchen s/o, so that is one problem eliminated. Will start removing bulbs--thanks, I hadn't thought of that.

Turned out to be a fan I installed. A wire came disconnected and was touching the convection oven. Thought that was where I would find the problem, but again appreciate the advice.
