Membrane under slide damaged.

We looked at a used 2018 381th tonight that is for sale at a dealer. Under two of the slides the membrane under the slide has been damaged. One has a pretty good looking patch on it. The other has several tears in it that have been covered with some kind of silicon seal. Would anyone know what may have caused this and what would be an acceptable repair or should it be replaced? We looked at a new 2019 381th and one of the slides looked as if the membrane had a bubble in it. What does this membrane do? I'm guessing it keeps the underside of the slide dry when going down the road.

Thanks for your input!

You'd have to get in there to see what is going on, other than that it would just be a guess on our end. (some reasons: replace a tank, replace a valve, etc.)

As for what the 'membrane' do, it just covers the bottom and help avoid some issues of stuff getting in there.
