Tailgate

When I needed a new tailgate for my 2013 Ram 2500 a local body shop owner referred me to Salvage Hunters near Marietta,Ga near Atlanta. They had a lot of new,take-off gates. I bought a new correct color gate for $400.00

I installed Jimmie Jammers on my 2012 F-250 after Carl mentioned it. I still have the tailgate + truck. I am assuming it sure work for me. Also installed the special screws on the tail light assembly that requires a special fitting. Also something else the thieves don't carry.

Just put a 3/4 to 1 1/2 hose clamp on mine. Tightened the clamp as tight as I could and still move it. Now the screw head is buried and not visible. Easy fix to slow down / confound a thief.

dfb, oh yes, $8900.00 the actual tailgate was actually around $6500. the rest was them repainting the side of the truck....some little scratchs.

two estimates pretty much the same.

Our original tailgate is packed away in a box. We found it easier to have the V-Gate. Maybe we'll sell the tailgate separate when we sell the truck.
