Dish 211K Receiver and wiring in a 3465

We have Dish TV at our stick house and upgraded to the hopper system. We used to take our receiver from home with us and this generally worked but now with the hopper we had to purchase 2- 211k to be able to use the same acct as at home. We are so technically challenged. We had two tvs that could watch separate programming with the 322 receiver but now we can only get the living room one to work and it will not get any local channels. During the summer months we are stationary at a location that has a dish 500 satellite. Otherwise we have a winegard carryout. Since there are a lot of trees the 500 has worked fine in the past. Has anyone had two 211k receivers and do you have to change the wiring? When we use the carryout do we have to connect the carryout directly to each receiver or can we use the wiring that is currently in the trailer. Someone told us we have to drill a hole to the outside and go directly the the carryout from the receiver. We have not even bothered with the carryout at this point. This just didn't seem right. It is capable of having to cable connections. Any help would be appreciated. We have a 2008 3465.

We have 2-211K's and a Winegard carryout. We have a 2010 so I'm not sure your wired the same as we are. We have to use both ports on the Winegard connected to both Satellite inputs in the convenience center (our rig has two inputs) then one 211K is hooked to the outlet next to the living room TV and the other is hooked to the one in the bedroom. To get the local channels we must call Dish and give them the local area code and then they turn it on for that area. We also have a 1 trig external drive hooked to each one to be able to record. I'm not too slick with hooking this stuff up, but I called dish and asked for an RV specialist. I was transferred to the RV folks and they walked me thru how to make it work. Once you get it working the only problem you'll have is that one of the receivers will be the master and the winegard can only look at one satellite at a time so the bedroom tv can only watch shows on the same satellite.

I have a 211k and a tailgater. Here is how I have wired it:
1. Coax from tailgater to input in the convenience center
2. Input from wall (top coax input of short cable loop- cable removed) to input of 211k
3. Output of 211k to output wall (bottom coax..this feeds bedroom TV)
4. HDMI from 211k to TV

This gives you HD in the living room. The bedroom tv receives SD tuned the same as the living room.

You can use 2 211k receivers by using a standard dish 500 but you will have to fish a second input cable to the bedroom 211k. From what I understand, the traveler also has two outputs. The newer trailers, late 2010 and newer allow for two inputs. The older models do not unless you install a second source cable.
