Printer_scanner
I am looking for a small printer and scanner for the trailer. The HP all in one looks good so does the Cannon but a lot pricer because it does photos too.
What do you all have and where do you store it. My HP G55 is too big and still in Australia.

John,
I had a 3 in one HP box shaped model that fit nicely in the desk area
under the TV. It clogged up and I couldn't get it fixed. I may get another when we go to FLA to winter for 5 months. I do some pictures
on my 3 in 1, but it can get expensive. I use walmart for pictures.

I have a little (around $100) HP 1200 all-in-one. I think it has been discontinued but there is a 1300 (I think) that replaces it. The scanner is better than my big scanner and the printer is great. It is not a photo printer but does a good job on photos. Both my computer accept my digital camera card and I have a special Sony photo maker so I didn't want one of the more expensive printers that did photos. It is small and compact, sits on the desk nicely and travels under the desk. I'm a big believer in HP printers. That is all we used at the school districts I worked for. No I don't own any stock in the company --- darn.

We use a small Epson all in one, with scanner, printer, fax, copier, and photo printer.
very reliable, almost as good as the pure picture processor that I bought for the wifes photo card hobby. We keep it up in the bedroom, in the space formerly occupied by TV, as we don't watch tv in bed, we read. on edit, I have it set up for wireless use.

We use the HP psc1315 all-in-one and it does great pictures but only if you are using Photo paper. I just printed a number of pictures and you can't tell these from the ones you get done professionally.
If I remember we paid 99 bucks for it at Staples.
The computer is resting on that anti-slide stuff you buy in rolls. It stays put even when traveling.

Most any of the HP all in ones will do you a good job. I don't know how a bottom of the line unit would do on photos but any mid priced will give you nice photos and don't take up much space.

Glenn, mine looks just like yours except I don't have the card slot in the front. Like I said both computers have them.

We have the HP Photosmart 2610xi - it sits in the recliner when traveling. It is a all in one printer - works great.

I have the HP PSC 2355 that is a printer, scanner and copier. It prints great photos and allows you to just put in your digital card and edit your pictures without putting them on your computer.

We have the HP Photo-smart 2700 Series that provides copy, print, fax and flatbed scanning. I placed it in the upper shelf closet the above fireplace/entertainment area in our 3650 RK. It is wireless w/no cables dangling and is out of the way whether traveling or parked. To do this, I had to remove the center post between the two doors. There is plenty of vertical space to lift the flat bed cover w/o a problem for copying/scanning. I do have to remove the printer to install print cartridges which is about 1-2 times per year. I do like it's location, since it is out of the way, and will even print with the doors closed.
What made this work for us is is that this is the same area that my wirelsee router is located in, which limits cables, etc. Hope this helps.

John, Can't recommend a small multi-function but an observation that I wouldn't focus on initial cost as the print cartidges usually cost about a 1/3 of the price of the unit.
