The older I get the more special Veteran's Day becomes. I salute my two brother-in-laws, one of which has lived without his legs after service in 1971 in Vietnam, and one who died several years ago from cancer caused by Agent Orange. My cousin who also died recently from cancer caused by Agent Orange. To all my brothers who served and are still with us, we are the lucky ones. Thanks you all and God Bless America!

Thank you to all those who have served and to those families who have loved ones serving or who have served.
Our Freedom depends on you and we would not be "the Land of the Free" if it were not "the Home of the Brave!"
GOD Bless You All!

You're welcome. It was my privilege to serve my country and it's citizens. I was very lucky. I returned with all my parts and mind intact.

Well said posts, and you are welcome from this Nam Vet. It's still hard on me, and I imagine all of us, to remember how we were treated when we came home. It's great that the returning service men and women are welcomed home now.

Rainer, are you trying to allude that young man is you? I didn't know they had color back then. Congrats to all the Veteran's out there. We should treat everyday as Veteran's day, since we enjoy the sacrifices that were made by them every day.

That photo was taken by Matthew Brady shortly after I met Abraham Lincoln. It was hand-colored in Paris some year latter by Vincent van Gogh.......

You were doing good until you got to Van Gogh - he was Dutch. Maybe you meant Pierre-Auguste Renoir who was French and lived during that time frame.
