Nashville - Before or After

I have made a suggestion to Steve and Betty about a trip to Nashville after the NE rally in May/June 07. Glenn and Lorraine have expressed an interest. I have had an email from Stewart and Lois (Potvin) saying they could make it to Nashville if it was before the rally. It doesn't matter to us but we are working on getting Mark into a group home for respite and will need to firm up some dates.
Can we open this subject up and have a bit of input if there is any interest.

I'm afraid we are going to be backing out of the Nashville trip altogether.
Before the rally would make it kind of tight for me. We are trying to do all 3 rallys. The one in Branson May 17 to 20, the Great Lakes Memorial Day weekend and the Northeast May 31 to June 4. With these rally dates there's nothing open for me to get to Nashille for more than a night or 2 and a night or 2 in Nashvile is not sufficient for us.

As we are coming to Pine Hill RV Resort for 2 reasons. One being the rally itself.
The second is visiting our families and after the events of the past week visiting our families has become so much more important to us. Going to Nashville right after the rally would not give us the time we need for the families.

So far Bill and Ann, Potvin and Carlson have expressed interest in going to Nashville for a few days BEFORE the NE rally. Anyone else interested?

we had talked about it, but that may be too early for us. We still haven't decided on what "big" trip to make for the year.Originally we wanted to go to Disney in Dec. of 2007, but they don't have any openings left...maybe 2008!

If you decide to go to Nashville in June, be careful. Fanfare week is always in early June and it gets VERY crowded.

Bill, Seeing as how the Great Lakes rally is no longer a factor we may be able to swing thru Nashville on our way from Branson to PA but I can't make any commitments at this time.

Glenn, are you not going out to Redmond, Oregon now?

Still going to Redmond but the rally's in mid July. Plenty of time to go to Branson, Nashville, Penna and maybe a quick trip up to northern NY before heading for Oregon beginning of July. We have a lot on our plate for this summer before we end up back in Goshen come September.

Yeah, we need to set some dates. I'm thinking about getting to Nashville around the 22nd of May and leaving on Tuesday the 29th. This way I'll be in before and out after the Memorial Day weekend.
I've been to 2 Rivers and if we can get a better idea on the numbers maybe we can get sites closer together.
One thing we want to be sure of is to stay away from sites 98 thru 118. These sites are adjacent to the GrayLines bus barn. They service their big diesel buses all night 7 days a week and early in the AM they start heading out. Between the engine noise and the back-up alarms it'll drive you nuts. Personally I prefer sights in the 300 or 400 rows. The 400 row is opposite the Montana dealer.

How about tentative dates (for discussion). We be at Nashville from whenever you want to get there (we are planning on getting there on the 24th) until the 29th to enable us to get to the NE rally. I will drop a line to 2 Rivers to see if sites are available.

Ok: Here is what is available in the #300 - #400 sites. There are 2 sites with 50 amp. full hook-up and 6 sites with 30 amp. full hook-up. At the present time these sites are available for the 24th - 29th. Reservations are made by phoning or emailing at the site Glenn gave in an earlier post.

I haven't any idea where the sites are location in relation to each other. These are the only sites available in the area that Glenn recommended. I would suggest we go ahead and make reservations.

Reservation made for May 22 to May 29.

Should be in a 50 AMP in row 300 but no specific number as yet.
