Step ladder

What is the best way to attach a step ladder to the rear ladder?
Thanks

I bought this thing at a hardware store. It was a Z shape that would hook over the ladder step rung, and then hung down a ways and had a couple of 'hooks' at the bottom. Then I placed the ladder on this and used a bike cable lock thing to lock it to the ladder.

Before we got a folding ladder, I carried a step ladder on one of these:http://www.campingworld.com/browse/s...0cuRoC2bXw_wcB

Good suggestions and "carl n susan"'s picture shows it all. As long as your ladder is not heavy it shouldn't be a problem. I've seen many who use their RV ladder for bicycles, but be careful, because I have seen and read that if you do carry heavy bicycles or ladders or other heavy objects (table, chairs, etc.) their weight can cause the ladder supports to disconnect from their fittings, due to rough roads.

I have not heard of too many problems with just an aluminum ladder that doesn't seem to be heavy enough to cause RV ladder damage. Consider that while the RV ladders have labels that state they can support upwards of over 200 lbs, the load is typical slow moving up or down and an object can weigh more than that if the road roughness is bad enough and you're carrying some significant weight on that RV ladder.

I built a rack and mounted it behind the axles to carry My 8 foot step ladder.... works gets a little dirty when it rains.. but can live with that.. just slide it the rack and lock it with a strap
