The difference between 80 and 85 is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch in height per tire. It lets you go to LT tires too. They are built better tires than ST's.
The G tires are rated much higher than LT or ST tires but they run at higher than 80psi so you need to look at the inside of your wheel to see if it is rated to take the higher pressure.
I switched to BFG Commercial TA's, an LT tire rated less than the Marathon ST's but they are doing much better than ST's did.
