1st Time in Monty

The weekend of Halloween we took the Monty out to Tower Park KOA for a 3 night stay beginning on Thursday and ended up staying for a whole week! Hubby kept adding 2 nights at a time because it was a bargain this time of year!

They had hayride and trick or treat for the kids in campground. Very pleasant and very quiet (after the weekend)!

Now Hubby wants to take Monty to visit our student son in the Santa Barbara area because he sleeps better in it! This will be about a 500 mile trip one way so looking forward to it. (May not get him home for another month!)

Oh, well when you are retired...

I agree about the sleeping better in your own bed than in rented rooms. Welcome to the Forum. These rigs do grow on you. Getting rid of the stix and brix just made it easier to be at home anywhere.

I agree with Stiles. Nothing like being in your own bed at night. Boy how times have changed.

When we picked up our 2006 3400RL Easter week, we went just about 30 miles for our inaugural trip. We planned for just 4 days but stayed for a week. After a year and a half, we are fulltimers and loving it!

If we were both retired, I KNOW that Doug would be doing the same thing and the next I would know it would be that not only would we be full-timing it, he'd be in the market for a bigger rig! Enjoy!
