Why no 3670RL fifth wheel in 2007?
We are about to purchase a 2005 Montana fifth wheel 3670RL from an individual, but I see that when I go to the Montana RV site and look up the floor plans, there is no 3670RL for 2007, and I am wondering if there was some problem with that particular floor plan???

I have a 2003 3670. My wife and I love it. It has a few drawbacks, but are few. One is...all the heavy stuff..kitchen, fireplace, etc is on the left side. If you level it, then pull out the slides, it will tilt to the left from all the weight on that side. The shower is really small..the toilet room is tiny. Other than that, we love it. It is our winter home. I like the floor plan, and all the windows. I have a laptop computer, and use the small desk alot. I did do some mods. when you get your 3670, I will tell you where all the hidden space is located. I found lots of places where they didn't bother to put doors on and make a storage area. I also added an outlet to the basement for charging my cordless drill, and 2 way radio batteries. I also plan to put my Harley Davidson on the back, so I now have a hitch to pull that. Go to www.swivelwheel.com and look at their neat trailers to put on the back. I got the 4X6 one with the ramps.

The 3670RL was a popular model, but it was discontinued after 2005. The reason given was that the newly introduced, (and somewhat similar), 3400RL had proved to be more popular. There have been rumors of its re-introduction, but nothing solid that I know of. The comments made above are true, but we have never noticed any problem, the toilet room and shower (in our 2005 model) are no different than in other Montana models produced at that time. We have also made the same additions as described above.
In out opinion, the early 2005 floor plan, with the sliding bedroom doors, is superior to the current bathroom/bedroom setups, but that is a matter of personal preference.
Hope you enjoy your 3670, it is good layout and I don't think you should be concered because it is not in the current line-up. Keystone change models quite frequently.

I will echo John's remarks. We live in our unit for 5 months in the winter. We will not buy another Montana until they bring back the 3670 Big Sky. I will add that it is the only model where you can have 12 for cocktails and 8 for dinner without being crowded.

We we were going to purchase the 3670 in November of 05 when we were advised by our dealer that they would be discontinued. We still think that the 3670 is a better floor plan than the 3400 (which we did purchase) more open easy access to everything. But since there were many upgrades for 06, Docking station, Mor-Ryde suspension, New front cap. we did not purchase.. There are some late 3670's with Mor-Ryde suspension. If the 05 3670 will serve your needs it would be a very good choice.

We are in agreement with Bill and Ann. The 3670 has the kind of openness we demand. We will not purchase another Montana until the 3670 comes back or one that we consider similar is available. Not to offend 3400 owners (because it is a beautiful Montana), but it is not sufficiently similar to attract our attention. The queen-sized bed is quite adequate for us and we want the wood divider door between the bed and bath.
Arrangements of floor plans in RVs are always trade-offs. We are happy with the 3670 trade-offs. However, we did like the new Big sky's deeper closets, flatter bedroom floor, more drawers in BR, and larger refrigerator.

Now that I see the floor plan for the 3670RL, I don't understand why the 3400RL would be considered the replacement. It would seem to me that the 3475RL would be the better comparison:
http://www.keystone-montana.com/inde...7&model=3475RL
In fact, other that loosing a little space on the streetside slideout, it is near identical.

We have the early 2005 3670 floor plan. They changed floor plan in last half of 2005. They did away with the wood doors and bathroom vanity was put in bedroom area. We were glad to get the earlier one. We love the spaciousness and the fact that everything is accessable when we are on the road. We also love the wood doors between bed and bath. We agree with Bill and Ann and Styles. Ours isn't a Big Sky, but it would be great if they brought that one back in the Big Sky and the regular Montana.

Nell we love our home. We bought in sept. 05 and ordered it and it is considered a 06 model. We have lived in it for a year now and have had any issues to speak of. I don't understand either why they did away with this great floor plan but that's the way it goes. I would not hesitate to buy because all of the equipment and such is still available if there was a problem. I don't have a issue with shower but we did order the garden tub and is plenty big enough for me and i am 6'3" 275#. It also pulls great.

We love our 3670 floor plan and are very hesitant to trade it for any other floor plan. We also love the way Keystone stands behind there product.
Montana Rog, please post pictures of you LCD TV upgrade when you do them, I would love to see how you mount it.

Nell,
No you don't need to answer each of us individually. Most people who post, check back to see further discussion and coments.
Also, I am wondering if the one you are looking at is the earlier 2005 model, or the later one? The floor plan changed later in the year, so it is a little different. When we bought ours, they had already come out with the new floorplan, but we found a dealer that had the old floor plan and purchased it from him. They stopped putting the wood sliding doors between bed and bath. Different floor plans appeal to different people. It is all just a matter of preference.

I am with you Al and Nita. The solid slider between the bath and bedroom is the only way to go. I don't understand why Keystone dropped it.

Of three Montanas we've had, this is the best floorplan. Wish we still had it.

We have a 2004 3670 and we love it. There is usually three of us traveling together and the open floor plan give us plenty of room to move around.
Montana Rog--
We are also trying to figure a way to put a 32 inch lcd in the 5th. The 26 inch will fit with no modifications. We've been trying to figure out how to increase the opening for the 32 without it looking to chopped up. Please post picture if you make the modifications.

Al i think if you went with the queen bed you could still get the sling door but could not with the king bed. We went with the king bed.
