Well, It has lasted...
We both have dominant personalities, so it might not have passed the eharmony compatibility test, two hard heads in the same house. But here it is, 47 years later, the marriage has lasted and we are friends. After church today, we celebrated our anniversary with quality Mexican food and strawberry shortcake with lots of strawberries and Cool Whip. There is also a double dip of love.

Congrats Stiles and Dianna! That is a real accomplishment in todays world.
Steve and I will celebrate our 13th anniversary tommorow. Unfortunately, I am in CA and he's back home in Montana. We have been apart for over 4 weeks now and have 3 more to go till I go to MT for vacation. This is the second anniversary that we have spent apart; and hopefully the last!

That's great, Stiles and Dianna. Still friends says a lot. It is easier to love someone than like someone many times. Carol and I are spending more time in our Monty and, small as it is, we are still friends, too. Congratulations on 47 years.

Congratulations Stiles and Dianna. That's quite a milestone and sounds like your celebration went well.
I loved your story and now I feel there is hope for Dick and I that maybe we'll make it 47 years. It's going to be 24 for us this year.
So happy to read you're still friends, that is the best to be in love with your friend.

Contgrats Stiles and Dianna! My better half and I have been married 31 years - I love mexican food and she loves strawberry shortcake....still practicing in the stick house with frequent trips in the "other home"....we must have success in the making.

I have been fortunate enough to meet the two af you face to face and I really have to say this...
47 years with Dianna was a cake walk for you but you really have to admire any woman that could put up with you for just a year muchless 47. Putting up with you for 47 years is absolutely an accomplishment and the best you could do was a Mexican dinner and Strawberry Shortcake? Heck I only met you for a short weekend and I got a hat from ya. Hope that "double dip of love" was a good one.

Happy Anniversary, Stiles and Dianna! What a happy accomplishment. As someone pointed out, to love your spouse is one thing ... but to actually like them AND live in a really small environment takes a very special commitment. Congratulations.

Congrats, Stiles and Diana. Being friends is the key to a happy marriage. It took Ed and I a few years and a few bad marriages to find each other but we have been together 24 years now and still consider each other our best friend.

Special congratulations on your 47th! We ask ourselves where do the years go as we'll celebrate our 45th on July 15th. Seems like it was just yesterday--God Bless and Many More. Hope that maybe our paths may cross someday.

Congrats Dianna and Stiles. What a great accomplishment. We celebrate our 43rd in July. We have found that it doesn't matter whether we are living in the big house or in the Monty, life just keeps getting better and better as the years go by(except maybe when we are backing into a tight space and relaying, or trying to relay, info to each other). We are so happy for you, just think the 100th is just around the corner!!!! The very best two the both of you.
