Black Tank Replacement

Well, we finally have had a major problem after living full time in our Montana since 2006. Our Black Tank has cracked. We had workers out today and had to fill the tank totally full before it leaked from the top. While we had them here we also had them fill all tanks and check them out the grey is fine, but the galley started leaking when it was full to almost coming out the kitchen sink, then it started spraying water from the top of the tank, so both tanks will be replaced. We thought the grey tank was leaking because we noticed water in the basement, seems it is coming from a small hairline crack in the tub and that will be replaced also. Hope the extended warrenty works the way they said it would!!

Good luck with the extended warranty. They are well worth it when they cover a big problem. When they don't .... We wish you the best!

I had to replace my black tank on my 05 shortly after the 1 yr warrenty expired. At the time I read a thread here about a defective tank problem where the necks were cracked but only discovered when compleely full. I discovered mine when I refilled with fresh water for a cleanse flush and over filled it. I paid $500.00 to replace as Keystone refused to help.

Makes me wonder if new owners should do a "full check" before their warranty expires??
